Auburn Area Community Theatre presents A Holiday Walk in the Woods
November 19 2025
AUBURN, Ala.- The Auburn Area Community Theatre (AACT) and the Kreher Preserve and Nature Center are bringing back the beloved annual December event, A Holiday Walk in the Woods, on Dec. 19 and 20. This special experience celebrates the music, stories and traditions that make our community so special.
You can step into a festive wonderland as AACT transforms the Kreher Preserve and Nature Center into a forest filled with holiday cheer. Bundle up for an evening stroll through the piney woods where friendly guides will lead small groups along a beautifully lit, easy trail. Along the way, you will discover six to eight magical stations, each sparkling with song, spoken word or performance. Some performances will feature groups from Auburn High School, Beauregard High School, AACT and community favorite Celtic Traditions Dance Studio.
Glowing lights, enchanting decorations and, at the end of the walk, sweet treats and hands-on nature art projects add even more merriment to the experience. This is a perfect holiday outing for family and friends.
"This event is special not only because it is a celebration of the season, but because it is an invitation for our whole community to come together," said Cora Connelly, vice president of AACT.
Each guided tour lasts about one hour, and all performances are family-friendly. A Holiday Walk in the Woods has become a favorite local tradition for celebrating the holiday season with joy and togetherness.
Each small group will include up to 15 people unless an entire time slot is purchased. In that case, groups can include up to 20 — ideal for organizations, families and friends. Performance blocks are scheduled for Dec. 19-20 from 5-6:50 p.m. and Dec. 20 from 10-11:50 a.m.
Tickets are $8 per person or $100 for an entire time slot and should be purchased in advance as this event often sells out. Visit auburnact.org for tickets or additional information.
